...Magic Beans and the Tell-Tale Heart

Jack and Jill went up the... Oh, wait, wrong fairy tale.  Sorry. :-)

Tonight turned out to be a movie night, two movies actually...  First I went to my local theater and watched Jack the Giant Slayer.  The movie received only so-so reviews from critics, but I quite liked it.  The premise is of two young people, one a noble the other a farmer, being thrust into their own version of Jack and the Bean-stock.  I liked the movie, though it was quite cheesy.  (Love cheese!  Yum)  I would recommend this one, if you like fantasy/romance/action.

Second movie was quite a bit darker: The Raven, starring John Cusack.  This was a Netflix stream (Thanks Netflix) and was very good.  It is a mystery supposedly occurring during the last days of Edgar Allen Poe's life.  There is a murderer committing grisly crimes based upon Poe's writings, and Poe allong with a police investigator must solve these crimes to save the last of the victims; Poe's lover.  This was a GREAT movie, suspenseful, gripping and ever so dark.  I would highly recommend this movie if you like dark mystery.

Good-Night World!
